Blogging

Blogging :-

Blog is short for Web Log. A web log is simply a website to which the owner adds articles, reports, product info and other information which benefits the readers. They come in many shapes and subjects from the maunderings of a troubled teen to displays of classical photography to breaking news and commentary. A blog site is regularly updated online which is different to a standard website which is created offline then published.

Good blog sites can be obtained free of charge, blogger.com is one place you can get one. The other benefits are that you don’t need to be able to create a website, no html or techie knowledge is required and you can add Adsense and affiliate links to your blog site in the same way you would on a website. A blog site is easy to start up, most sites have templates to choose from and you just click a few buttons for the settings you prefer, blogs are many web surfers preferred information sources as they are regularly updated so the information is usually fresh.

The fact that blogs are updated regularly means that search engines love them, they also rank highly because they are generally content based and not crammed with adverts like their website counterparts. Blogs revolving around a niche subject will do particularly well in the search engines because of the lack of competition. Subject specific and niche sites will also have a more focused reader base and Adsense ads will be directly suited to them and therefore have good chance of encouraging clicks.

Blogs can be about anything, many are used as online diaries, other simply supply and share information about a variety of subjects. The most popular blogs and the one that have money making in mind tend to relate to a specific subject. As with all online marketing projects Keywords are important, research the best keywords related to your chosen subject and make sure you posts are keyword rich and you will do well in the search engines and therefore attract more readers. You can invite your readers to post their comments or just keep it closed and be the only one who makes posts.

When you start up your blog make updates every day or more often if you can, you don’t have to add lots of info just a few sentences will do if that’s all you have to say. If you are not Adsense approved wait until you have done about 5 days worth of blogging then submit your site to Adsense. Once approved you can start to monetise your blog site with ads. There are many other affiliate products you could add too, check out Clickbank, Amazon, commission Junction and Yahoo publisher network among others.
